The Mega Story Hunt, a new storytelling competition inspired by An Escape to Paris, is inviting participants to share compelling travel stories drawn from their personal experiences, whether local or international.
The competition encourages entrants to submit memorable travel narratives ranging from humorous and emotional to transformative or unexpected moments, accompanied by a photo of the book An Escape to Paris.
Submissions may be made as written posts or video entries and shared across social media using the hashtags #AETPMegaStoryHunt and #AnEscapeToParisBook.
To qualify, participants must follow Lawretta Egba on her official social media platforms and on the Instagram page @anescapetoparis.
Prizes for the competition include an all-expense-paid trip to Paris or ₦3 million for the grand prize winner. The first runner-up will receive a three-day luxury getaway or ₦750,000, while the third-place winner will receive a premium dinner experience in Lagos or ₦250,000. Exceptional entries may also be selected for inclusion in a future compilation project.
Winners will be selected by an international panel of literary judges led by Taiwo Michael Oloyede, an award-winning multidisciplinary artist.
Entries close on May 30, 2026, with winners selected based on creativity, originality, authenticity, and emotional impact.
