In celebration of the eloquence found in the art of spoken word and poetic performance, the annual Bash Amuneni Prize for Performance Poetry has officially opened for submissions. Poets and spoken word artists from around the globe are invited to showcase their talents for a shot at winning the inaugural prize.
Named after the poet Bash Amuneni who is known for his enthralling presentations and resonant verses, the annual prize strives to acknowledge and champion exceptional achievements in the world of performance poetry.
Submission Guidelines:
- Create a one-minute video on the theme “Poetry for Climate Change: Raise Your Voice for the Planet.”
- Post the video on your social media page and tag @bashamueni and @bashamueniprize on any of their social media platforms.
This prize is open to poets and poetry performers worldwide, with the winner receiving an award worth £300.
Submissions are open from April 1st to April 29th, 2024.
