Three African writers, Abdulrahman M. Abu-Yaman, Daniel Echezona, and Ujama Kadri, have been shortlisted in the Prose category of the 2026 “London” Literary Prize.

The shortlist, announced this week, features five writers competing in the prose category of the annual literary contest organised by The /tƐmz/ Review:

  • Abdulrahman M. Abu-Yaman was shortlisted for Midwife Crisis
  • Daniel Echezona for Excuse My Dust
  • Ujama Kadri for The Green Echo.

Also shortlisted in the category are Charlotte Bruckner for Big Sur and Morrigan Byalin for In Pursuit of a Mule.

The /tƐmz/ Review is a literary journal based in London, Ontario, that publishes fiction, poetry, and reviews. It focuses on publishing work from both emerging and established writers.

The winners and runners-up across all categories of the 2026 “London” Literary Prize will be announced on May 7.
