Porter House Review has revealed the finalists for its 2025–2026 Editors’ Prize in Poetry and Fiction.

In the poetry category, judged by Carl Phillips, the finalists are:

  • Inferno by Nnamdi Ndiolo
  • Bollywood Sex Poem by Kandala Singh
  • new fascism and the self-Important by Simeon Pereira-Madder
  • Portrait of My Father Spilling War Stories by Saheed Sunday
  • The Timeline by What Burns by Stephen Energia
  • ABRAHAM DRAWS THE KNIFE by Wes Matthews

Among the poets are Nnamdi Ndiolo and Nigerian writer Saheed Sunday.

For fiction, judged by James F. Thomas, the finalists are:

  • Say It Right by Jeffrey-Michael Kane
  • Labors by Chris Zerby
  • Everybody’s Looking for Poisonous Worms by Andrew Kozma
  • Bossman by Winifred Òdúnóku
  • Submechanophobia by Sarah Lotfi

Nigerian writer Winifred Òdúnóku was named among the fiction finalists for her story “Bossman”.

Porter House Review is an American literary journal that publishes poetry and fiction. It runs the annual Editors’ Prize, a competitive award that draws submissions across both genres, with finalists selected by guest judges before winners are announced.

Winners will be announced by Porter House Review at a later date.
