Narrative Landscape Press has acquired world rights to When Pigs Fly, a forthcoming children’s picture book by Nigerian author Ugo Anidi.

When Pigs Fly follows Ezi, a determined pig who dreams of flying despite repeated failures, and Nne, an eight-year-old girl who wants to dress as an Igbo masquerade for her school’s Halloween competition, her mother dismisses the idea, repeatedly telling her, “When pigs fly.”

The story brings the two characters together as they devise a plan to achieve what appears impossible, leading to unexpected results.

The book explores themes of perseverance, teamwork, and the courage to challenge societal expectations.

Through this publication, Narrative Landscape Press deepens its commitment to championing stories that spark wonder, nurture curiosity, and reflect the richness and complexity of modern African life for young readers and the grown-ups who read alongside them.
