I sit at the alter of my life,
Small and humble like
Every thing God created before
It was touched by sin,
I’m before the transgressions of
My life and I’m not perfect.
Forgive me, father for I have sinned,
I have lied and I have cheated and
I have done things I know not to have
Done, my will, is a small animal wounded
By a knife, your will, is the salve at my wound,
God, I’m before you, the glory of your name,
Forever be halo, the music of your mercy
Make my feet slowly move into a dance.
