Deep Breath

Suspended in moments,

Are clues we missed,

In the struggle to pay our dues

Hoping to receive life’s bliss.

I stopped to take a deep breath,

In ambush for the signs from within

Resting on this golden crossroad

I reach deep inward

To draw strength.

It’s not a choice at my call

To the will of my learning, write

My present past, my future defined

I keep a date with fate

In the maze of time

My shoulder, burdened with painful gain,

And the nostalgia of memories overdrawn.

The chorus of my wishful songs

Reach the heavens

To make rain from my gains

Watering my plants of hope

This hope, a wakeful dream.

The skill of letting go of the past

I possess not

A perfection of my frailty

For strong is the string

That binds the cord of my holding on

Bearing my zeal to journey on

To a future unknown, but eminent.

This priceless golden trek

Surely needs the courage to proceed

To synth my thoughts,

A seat for my aesthesia

So, I take a deep breath.
