Indigo Literature Review, an independent literary journal, is accepting submissions for its second volume, with writers invited to submit poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and experimental literary works, with Colombian musician and writer Simón Simone as the guest reader for the forthcoming edition.
Founded as an independent literary publication under Blanket Cape LLC, Indigo Literature Review provides a platform for writers working across different forms of literature, with an editorial interest in experimental and unconventional approaches to writing.
Prose Guidelines
- Record your name and email in the submitted file.
- Submit only one piece of prose per submission cycle.
- Word count must be 3000 or less. Longer works will not be considered.
Poetry Guidelines
- Record your name and email in the submitted file.
- Submit up to 3 poems per submission cycle. Authors who submit more than 3 works simultaneously will not be considered.
- Each poem submitted should be a separate file.
- If at all possible, send poetry in .DOC or .DOCX instead of PDF – especially since formatting plays an important role in your work.
Indigo accepts simultaneous submissions, but writers are expected to notify the editors if their work is accepted by another publication. Previously published works will not be considered.
For Volume 2, Indigo has introduced a $5 submission fee, explaining that the change will allow it to pay writers whose work is selected for publication.
Interested writers can submit their work through the journal’s official submission portal before November 30, 2026.
Best of luck to all applicants!
