                Isaiah 35:1

We were born during the

Time of thirst, the world was

Filled with dryness, the war

Was almost encroaching our

Fathers and their fathers and

Their sons and daughters and

The deaths were picking the

People we loved most and the

Hunger was eating the things

We wanted to eat and the ugliness

Of things were covering the beauty

We saw and life was a small broken bird,

And we wanted rain and the blood kept

Spilling and we wanted a song but the

Screams kept falling and we wanted light

But we were covered in darkness and we wanted

Rain, and we wanted rain and we wanted the waters

To touch the desert of our throats and before

The meditations and before the faith in what

It would do, there was the believe that Gods

Prescence during the season of thirst was

What kept us alive to yearn for redemption.
