The Blessing Kolajo Poetry Prize is accepting submissions for this year’s award theme, Fragments of Time, inviting applications from eligible participants from all over the world.
The theme, Fragments Of Time, is a poetic theme that delves into the fleeting nature of moments and the essence of time itself. When exploring this theme, poets must the transience, sensory details, emotions and reflections and also utilise the figures of speech.
Submission Guidelines:
- The poem must be the original, unpublished work of the entrant in English. Ai generated poems are not eligible for the prize.
- The manuscripts must focus on the theme of the prize.
- All poems must contain a maximum of 150 words.
- All entrants must be between the ages of 18 – 30.
- Winners from the previous edition of the prize are not allowed to participate in the award.
The prize is open to eligible participants from all over the world with the winner receiving an award worth 100,000 Naira.
All submissions must be sent to bkpoetryprize@gmail.com. A short bio including your social media details and a means of identification must be included in the attachment.
Submissions close on July 27, 2024.
