Stripes Literary Magazine has announced the forthcoming release of Silence, a new poetry chapbook by Nigerian poet Tukur Loba Ridwan, set to be published on September 25, 2025.

Silence lingers on the many dimensions of quietude, its tenderness, its grief, and its power as both presence and absence. With this collection, Ridwan opens a contemplative space where silence becomes both subject and metaphor, a lens for reflecting on life’s subtle yet profound moments.

Tukur Ridwan (He/Him) is a Nigerian poet who explores existentialism through dualism, solitude/silence, memories, lust, and loss. Shortlisted in Bridgitte James Poetry Competition (2025), and Eriata Oribhabor Poetry Prize (2020), he won the Brigitte Poirson Monthly Poetry Contest (March 2018), authored A Boy’s Tears on Earth’s Tongue (Authorpedia, 2019), and The Forgiveness Series (Ghost City Press, 2022). He tweets @Oreal2kur and Facebook’s @Loba_Ridwan.

Silence will be released on September 25, 2025.
