In the words of Ajoke Omawore, the founder of REEL Foundation:

“In the lockdown of 2020, we thought about how we could reach out to children irrespective of their background, to engage them, make sure they were learning, and that was why we decided to do the challenge and focus on children telling stories about COVID-19. We want other people to also enjoy the stories that these brilliant children wrote. Beyond that, we want this to be an ongoing exercise. Subsequently, we also want to reach out to corporate organisations who can continue to sponsor us.”

REEL Foundation is a registered community based Non-Profit Organisation that seeks to promote equitable access to quality learning for children from low income/undeserved communities. The Foundation’s goal is to ensure that children irrespective of their socio-economic background have access to quality learning privileges that will enhance their knowledge and skills and put them at par with their peers globally.
