Narrative Landscape Press is excited to unveil the cover of Love, Lagos & Other Complications, the forthcoming novel by Zainab Uche Imam.
The novel is a captivating exploration of love, personal growth, and the intricacies of navigating relationships in the vibrant city of Lagos.
The story centres around Ṣemilore “Ṣemi” Coker, a brilliant product developer, who is enduring a particularly rough day. Her frustration intensifies after an infuriating first encounter with Toluwalashe “Lashe” Williams, a privileged entrepreneur. However, their paths cross again that evening at a Lagos bar, and despite the sparks of irritation between them, a deeper connection begins to form. As Ṣemi and Lashe explore their growing feelings for one another, they must confront family expectations, personal traumas, and cultural divides that threaten to keep them apart.
Set against the vibrant, fast-paced backdrop of Lagos, Love, Lagos & Other Complications highlights the complexities of love, offering a story that is as unexpected as it is heartfelt. Will the couple’s blossoming romance overcome the obstacles in their path, or will it become just another dream left unfulfilled?
