The cover for I Cry at the Feet of My Other Body, the forthcoming short story collection by Nigerian writer Mustapha Enesi, has been officially revealed. 

Scheduled for release on 20 September 2025, the book explores themes of motherhood, longing, grief, sexuality, and acceptance.

The cover art, set in hues of deep blue, portrays a pregnant woman sitting solemnly on a bed. A bedside lamp glows softly beside her, and a wall calendar pinned above reads “June,” offering a quiet sense of time and interiority. 

A Nigerian writer known for his emotive storytelling that delves into themes of grief, sexuality, and acceptance. Mustapha Enesi with a background in Agriculture, transitioned into the literary world, gaining recognition for his contributions to contemporary African literature. He has won several prestigious awards, including the 2021 K & L Prize for African Literature and the Awele Creative Trust Award for his story “Safety Pins Are Good Omens”​ (Isele Magazine)​​ (Brittle Paper)​.

While specific stories remain under wraps, the book is described as a literary multiverse where every character is vital and interconnected lives are subtly explored
