Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will appear in conversation with Nigerian novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at the London Literature Festival on Thursday, as part of her ongoing book tour for 107 Days, her new political memoir.

The London event, already sold out, is among the most anticipated stops on the tour, which began in late September following the book’s release. On October 21, Harris announced the appearance, saying she looked forward to the discussion with Adichie, whose novels and essays have made her one of Africa’s most influential literary voices.

Kamala Harris’s memoir, 107 Days, written in collaboration with author Geraldine Brooks, chronicles her 2024 presidential campaign following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race. The title refers to the length of her campaign, which she describes as brief but intense. Released by Simon & Schuster on September 23, 2025, the book has sold about 350,000 copies in its first week and is projected to reach half a million. The publisher’s chief executive, Jonathan Karp, called it one of the best-selling political memoirs of the decade.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, author of Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, writes about identity, politics, and social change. She is expected to speak with Kamala Harris about writing, leadership, and how personal stories shape public life.

The event, presented in partnership with Foyles, continues the festival’s tradition of pairing major cultural and political figures in public dialogue. Harris has previously appeared on her tour with comedian Roy Wood Jr., broadcaster Charlamagne Tha God, and writer Don Staley.

Her conversation with Adichie is scheduled for today, October 23,  at the Southbank Centre, London.
