Isele Magazine Calls for Submissions

You are currently viewing Isele Magazine Calls for Submissions

Isele Magazine has announced a call for submissions for its final quarterly issue of 2025, themed “Unwritten.” The issue invites writers and artists to explore themes of self-discovery, reinvention, transformation, and the undefined.

Submission Guidelines

For fiction and nonfiction, writers may submit up to five thousand words of prose. For poetry, a maximum of three poems should be included in one document. For photography and visual art, contributors may send up to five images in JPEG or PNG format along with a short note describing the concept and relevance of the work.

The magazine accepts only one submission per person and does not consider AI-generated images or artwork. Fiction, nonfiction, and poetry must be unpublished, although translated works are considered if the original was not in English. Photography and visual art that have been previously published or exhibited may be accepted if the artist still holds the rights to the work.

Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but contributors are expected to notify the editors if their work is accepted elsewhere. Isele Magazine does not charge submission fees, and all accepted contributors receive a modest payment.

The magazine requests first serial rights for all published work, but rights revert to the creator after publication. If a work is republished elsewhere, the contributor should credit Isele Magazine as the original publisher. All accepted submissions are automatically considered for The Isele Prizes.

Submissions close on October 31, 2025.

Best of luck to all applicants!
