Efiko Magazine, a pro-Africa publication, is currently open for submissions of poems, short stories, and essays. Writers of African descent from around the globe, as well as those who write about Africa, are encouraged to submit their work.
Founded by Ladi Opaluwa and Oris Aigbokhaevbolo, Efiko Magazine is an online literary platform dedicated to showcasing Africa as both a geographical location and a cultural perspective. It is a must-read for those interested in African literature and storytelling.
Efiko Magazine is seeking poetry submissions of 2 to 5 poems totaling 10 pages, or short stories and essays ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 words. Submissions should be in Times New Roman, 12 points, double-spaced, with numbered pages, and must be original works that have not been previously published.
The magazine offers compensation of 20,000 naira for 2 or more poems and prose over 2,500 published words. For pieces below these lengths, compensation is adjusted accordingly. Contributors with non-Nigerian bank accounts will receive a novel or nonfiction book of their choice, up to a value of $35, as well as processing fees.

- Save the attached document with your name and the genre of your work.
- Include the genre of your submission in the subject line of your email.
- Include a 5-line bio in the body of the email.
