Masobe Books has unveiled the cover of A Museum of Unfinished Men, a new poetry collection by Nigerian writer Kukogho Iruesiri Samson, set for release on 20 March 2026.

The cover features three sculpted male busts mounted on classical pedestals, reinforcing the “museum” motif embedded in the title. Rendered in stark black against a muted blue background, the figures evoke permanence and preservation — artefacts of masculinity frozen in time.

Described as a ‘deeply introspective collection’, A Museum of Unfinished Men examines the devastating complexities of failed fatherhood and generational legacy. The poems explore how inherited silence and emotional neglect shape male identity across different eras, placing inherited burden in tension with the possibility of transformation.

Through candid reflection, the collection confronts the emotional architecture of absence — what fathers could not say, what sons internalise, and how cycles of restraint persist. Rather than offering easy resolution, the poems dwell in complexity, interrogating masculinity within personal and cultural frameworks.

The collection will be available in bookstores from 20 March 2026.
