The National Film Authority is a government agency mandated to enforce the legal framework for the production, regulation, nurturing and development of the Ghanaian film industry, and for the distribution, exhibition and marketing of films and related matters. It was set up by the Government of Ghana under the Development and Classification of Film Act 935 to regulate and streamline the ecosystem of film in Ghana.

Under its Scriptbank Project, the NFA is on a mission to discover the next big script writer in Ghana.

Are you 25 years old or younger?

Are you that writer?

How creative are you?

How far can you push the envelope?

Does your imagination scare you?

Do you itch to write?

Do your friends think you are weird?

Do you like to make up stories?

If you answered yes to these questions, send a short, captivating script to the NFA adhering to the following guidelines:

• The story should not be more than 8 minutes long.

• The theme is: Meet Kweku Ananse

Prizes:

  First place – GHC 5,000

  Second place – GHC 3,000

  Third place – GHC 2,000

The winners also get to join a script program and all the goodies that come from it.
