The Afritondo Short Story Prize is back with its 2024 longlist as judged by the prize’s first three winners Jarred Thompson, Desta Haile, and Howard Meh-Buh Maximus. From a pool of around 400 submissions, the judges have picked their best 15 for the longlist as follows:
