Ghanaian interdisciplinary creative Boakye D. Alpha has been selected as one of ten fellows for the 2025–2026 Escalator New Writing Fellowship, an eight-month creative development programme for emerging writers in the United Kingdom.
Now in its twentieth year, the Escalator New Writing Fellowship supports unpublished fiction writers based in the East of England, including Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. The programme is delivered by the National Centre for Writing and is supported by organisations such as Arts Council England, the Authors’ Licensing & Collecting Society, Amazon Literary Partnership, Garrick Charitable Trust, Golsoncott Foundation, Laura Kinsella Foundation, and the Reeves Award.
Boakye D. Alpha is a Ghanaian poet, screenwriter, filmmaker, book blogger and entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His work spans literature and film, and he has received several awards and scholarships, including support from the Tony Elumelu Storytellers Fund and the MultiChoice Talent Factory scholarship for emerging African filmmakers.
His writing has appeared in international publications such as GUAP Magazine (UK) and Shallow Tales Review, among others.

Sarah Adeyemo, Swan IX, is a Nigerian poet, writer, editor, spoken word artiste and communication expert. The debut author of “The Shape of Silence”. She draws inspiration from solitude and experiences. She is a fellow of the SprinNG Writing Fellowship.
