Nigerian Muslim (Yoruba) writer, content creator, and advocate, Muminah Koleoso, has been named the 2025 winner of the Creative of the Year award at The Black Scottish Awards (TBSA) held at the Hilton Glasgow on September 27.
The award recognises her outstanding contributions to storytelling and creative media that amplify the voices of Black and Muslim women.
Based in Scotland, Koleoso is the host of the Sister Station podcast and has contributed to publications such as Black Ballad. She has performed poetry at major events including the Edinburgh International Book Festival and is also the winner of the MCM Comic Con Creatives Scholarship, the Young Scot Award for Culture & Entertainment, and several other accolades for her creative work.
Other African awardees recognised at TBSA 2025 include Amaechi Nsofor, who won Professional Senior Leader of the Year, and Zibusiso Lujika Dube, who was named Young Person of the Year.
