Inkspires Kreation has announced the return of its literary series Poetversation, with Nigerian poet and editor Samuel A. Betiku as the featured guest. Hosted by JAY Lit writer and news reporter, Sarah Adeyemo, the event will be held virtually on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. WAT via Google Meet.
Designed as more than a reading, the gathering promises an evening where poetry and reflection intertwine. Attendees will enjoy selected works from Betiku’s publications, explore the inspirations and themes that shape his craft, and engage in conversations that celebrate poetry’s role as both art and community.
Samuel A. Betiku is a Nigerian poet and editor who currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Okiti Literary. His work has earned recognition across the literary world: he won the Eriata Oribhabor Poetry Prize in 2020, the Folorunsho Editor’s Poetry Prize in 2024, and was a finalist for the 2024 Rhysling Award. A Best of the Net nominee, his poems have appeared in publications such as Rattle, The Offing, The Temz Review, Frontier Poetry, TrampSet, The Christian Century, Strange Horizons, Agbowó, The Deadlands, and many others.
