After a brief hiatus, the Olúmo Review has announced a new call for submissions for its forthcoming issue. For this cycle, the journal is seeking only poetry, with submissions open from July 1 through September 30, 2025.

The editors encourage poets to submit work that sparks curiosity, challenges the intellect, and experiments with diverse styles, forms, and traditions of poetry.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submit 1–3 poems.
  • If submitting more than one poem, please compile them into a single Word document (.doc or .docx).
  • Use 12-point font and single-line spacing.
  • Include a cover letter with a brief publication history.
  • Expected response time is 1–3 months. Please do not send a query until at least 8 weeks have passed.

Payment

Contributors will receive ₦5,000 per accepted poem, along with annual contributors’ copies.

Sarah Adeyemo, SWAN IX, is a Nigerian poet, writer, editor, spoken word artiste and communication expert. The debut author of “The Shape of Silence”.
