The Alpine Fellowship has unveiled writers and poets shortlisted it its many categories, with the writing and poetry categories dominated by creatives of African descent. The Writing Prize has a shortlist of 56 writers from over 1800 submissions from around the world while the Poetry Prizes has a shortlist of 45 poets from over 1200 submissions.

- Chidozie Emesowum (Nigeria)
- Sihle Ntuli (South Africa)
- Nnadi Samuel (Nigeria)
The Alpine Fellowship is a charitable foundation that supports, commissions, and showcases artists, writers, academics, and playwrights. It was founded in 2013 by Alan J. Lawson and Jacob Burda. It offers prizes in academic writing, theatre, poetry, writing, and visual arts. These are aimed at supporting emerging artists, writers, and playwrights from around the world, discovering emerging talent, disseminating new ideas, and sharing thoughts about art, literature, and philosophy.
All winners and runners up will receive cash prizes; £3,000 for first prize winners and £1,000 for second and third place winners. Travel assistance up to the tune of £500 will also be made available for winners and runners up intending to attend The Fellowship’s annual grand symposium in Tuscany, Italy. Meals and accommodations will be covered for winners and runners up at the symposium.
