Writers Space Africa is currently accepting applications of children’s literature, creative nonfiction, poetry, flash fiction and short stories from interested and eligible African writers across the world on the theme, Redemption.
First published in January 2017, Writers Space Africa has grown to become one of Africa’s most widely read magazines. Behind the scenes are talented writers of African descent who work hard to ensure that the magazine is published monthly and only the best entries are published.
Submission Guidelines
- Each manuscript must be the original, unpublished work of the entrant and in English. Published work are not eligible for the prize.
- Manuscripts must have the following requirements: Creative Non-Fiction – 1,200 Words maximum; Children’s Literature – 700 words maximum (illustrations may be attached and poems not longer than 24 lines); Flash Fiction – 300 words maximum; Poetry – 1 poem, a maximum of 24 lines; Short Stories – 1,500 words maximum.
- Do include the title and category in your submission.
- Edit your work and submit it to one category only.
