Ngiga Review has revealed the Ngiga Humour Writing Prize longlist (in honour of John Okafor AKA Mr. Ibu) aimed at ‘celebrating and rewarding the brilliance of African writers who skillfully weave humour into their storytelling’.
The longlisted authors are:
- Olusesi Fatimo T. – “Paternity Fraud”
- Tobiloba Oladeji – “Pest of Friends”
- Solomon T. Hamza – “The Head and Not the Tail”
- Ezioma Kalu – “Trouble Dey Sleep”
- Everest Udochukwu – “Clowns of the Crown”
- Ugorji Timothy – “Room 342”
Ngiga Review is a writers’ collective that welcomes works from around the globe, focused on capturing diverse perspectives of our interconnected lives. Open to new forms of storytelling, artistic explorations, poetic expressions, and poignant essays and reviews, Ngiga Review embraces the evolving needs of the modern era. With a particular fondness for works that seek to challenge, disrupt, and dismantle stereotypes, the collective aims to foster creative expression that resonates with the changing time.
