The cover for Witsprouts’ upcoming short story anthology, Love Grows Stronger in Death, is out and it is stunning! Curated by Tope Akintayo and jointly edited by Basit Jamiu and JAY Lit Managing Editor, Ibrahim Babátúndé Ibrahim, Love Grows Stronger in Death features stories by 15 emerging writers from Africa.

The stories explore how unacknowledged affections and missed opportunities often resonate more strongly in the face of loss. The cover features a solid red background with the book title stamped onto it in multicolour lettering to give a relaxed look. A number of illustrations sparsed over the cover show several forms of love, with an odd one depicting the symbols of death and love in an embrace. The cover is made by Witsprouts’ in-house design team.

Witsprouts has previously published The Year of Free Bird: Stories About Visually Impaired Protagonists; and Twenty-20: Stories and Lessons from the Pandemic Year
