The 2024 edition of Quramo Festival of Words (QFest) concluded with exciting moments as the winners of both the Quramo Writers Prize and the Quramo Word Slam were announced.

In the Quramo Writers Prize category, Arthur Gabriel Yak emerged as the winner for his piece Whispers Of Survival taking home the grand prize of ₦1,000,000 and a publishing deal with Quramo Publishing. His work stood out among many talented writers, affirming his place in the literary community. 

Meanwhile, Chukwuma Jonathan clinched the first runner-up spot for his thoughtful exploration of societal shifts, while Abiodun Selome Medemaku took the second runner-up spot with his emotionally rich storytelling to conclude this year’s Quramo Writers Prize competition on a high note. 

Going home with the Quramo Word Slam prize was Saheed Sunday who emerged as the grand prize winner, taking home an impressive prize of 100,000 Naira for his outstanding performance.

The Quramo Festival of Words (QFest) is an annual non-profit, multi-day literary, arts, and culture festival that brings together a vibrant community of writers and creatives. QFest 2024, held under the theme The Shifting, is aimed at empowering voices and inspiring minds, attracting enthusiastic participation from literary figures and wordsmiths across the country.
