The 1925 African Foundation, in partnership with the HOW Foundation, will be hosting the first edition of the Chizi Wigwe Prize for African futurism. The main goal of the competition is to give African artists a chance to showcase their works on the global stage and expose them to a bigger audience.

The Chief Wigwe Prize is a 5000 dollar prize which will be given to an artist who displays exceptional brilliance. Their work must embody the elements of African futurism and reflect the theme “Africa in 2100.” The theme reflects the foundation’s commitment to creating a dynamic space where African Artists can thrive and contribute to global conversations.
